I think this could get confusing because one bag makes 4 smoothies, and I prep 3 bags at a time. The reason I do that is because most everything I buy is easily divided between 3 bags and then nothing goes to waste. For instance, I buy a pack of 6 persian cucumbers from Trader Joe’s and dice 2 per bag. Same goes for the celery. I just divide it between the 3 bags.
**I have a saved story on my instagram page that goes step by step into how I prep the bags and make the smoothie!
I am giving you the RECIPE BELOW FOR ONE BAG
*one bag yields 3-4 smoothies
**I buy all the ingredients and make three bags at a time and store them in the freezer for when I need a new batch
***per bag, you get 4 glass jars full. I store 3 smoothies in the fridge to have the following 3 days. I store them in mason jars and just give it a goos shake before drinking. I know it’s probably better to make it fresh every day, but there’s a balance of health and convenience that must be met.
Again, here is the recipe for 1 bag (I store mine in quart size freezer bags):
- 1.5 c frozen mango (I just do a big ole’ handful)
- 2 celery stalks
- 1/2 c sliced cucumber
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 c parsley
- 1/2 c cilantro
WHAT YOU ADD WHEN YOU ACTUALLY GO TO BLEND:
- 2-3 c coconut water
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 1 tbs lime juice
- 3 large handfuls fresh or frozen spinach
- water and ice to desired consistency all blended for a solid 1-2 minutes in the ever so powerful @vitamix
