People. This is what I want. All the time. Cookie dough. Not even baked cookies. Just the dough. Nate brought home a Redbox and a gallon of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream the other night and you would have thought he had bought me diamond earrings…
With pregnancy, I usually try and let a craving sit for a few days before I give in. If it lingers, then I go about satisfying it. So I decided to make some eggless cookie dough and roll into balls and store it in the freezer for when the craving strikes. To be honest, the only redeeming factors about these are that they are made with whole-wheat flour, and they are free of weird chemicals and preservatives. Other than that, it’s your butter and sugar goodness all the way.
Here’s my recipe
I didn’t get out the kitchen aid for these. I simply used a hand mixer. Then, formed into balls and put on a parchment lined cookie sheet, stuck in the freezer to harden, then transferred to a gallon freezer bag. So dangerous, yet so amazingly YUM!
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
¾ cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1/3 c oats (optional)
2 tbs milk
½ cup chocolate chips
