Whether trying to save money or simply not feel like crap from constant restaurant food, here are some easy, few ingredient meals I made in our rental house. Or heck, make these in your own house. Sometimes the simple meals I make on trips remind me how often I overcomplicate mealtime.
Note: Since we flew, I brought absolutely zero cooking supplies or ingredients. Luckily, our house did have the basics (salt, pepper, oil).

You will need: box of soup, loaf of bread, cheese, butter, apple slices served on the side

10/10 easy comfort meal. Add ham or turkey if you need a meat.

You will need: jar of marinara, box of spaghetti noodles, frozen meatballs, shredded Parmesan, boxed/bagged salad that comes with the dressing

You will need: Ground beef, taco seasoning, smaller container of Greek yogurt or sour cream, shredded cheese, can of black beans, can of corn, tortillas (used splash of oil to cook the corn in a skillet)
**could also cook rice for this meal; should have enough between this and the turkey meatball meal
Donโt sleep on the taco seasoning in the black beans tip!

Recipe here. You will need: 16 oz. box of pasta (I did 2 – 8oz. boxes Banza, 16 oz. container heavy cream, 5 oz. container of baby spinach, 1 cup shredded parm, 16 oz. ground pork, onion (recipe calls for fresh garlic; I used garlic seasoning at the house)

You will need: Frozen meatballs, BBQ sauce of choice, white rice (I love basmati), tbs butter for cooking the rice, broccoli, oil for lightly tossing the broccoli to roast

Could sub frozen rice or frozen broccoli to make this faster/easier.
This is one of my families favorite meals. Simple, comes together fast, and I appreciate that we are eating a vegetable ๐

We used takeout containers from other restaurant meals to have some easy lunches for Nate and me.
Hope this was helpful!! Next up: hot dogs and fruit!!
Would love to know what easy meals you make in rental houses. I could use some ideas ๐ก
