Never too early for hot cocoa!
Kicking the weekend off with my homemade, 3 ingredient hot cocoa. SO EASY! So many possibilities and substitutions. Play around with it until it’s just right for you. Mind you, you might need a good blender to pulverize the date. If you don’t have a date, sub 1 tbs maple syrup. No biggie.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1.5 c milk of choice (I prefer organic whole milk)
- 2 tbs cocoa powder (or cacao powder)
- 1 date (or 1 tbs maple syrup)
TO MAKE:
Blend all ingredients in a powerful blender (I use my Vitamix) until well blended.
Yep. That’s it! Then just microwave it for 1 minute, stir, and any additional 30 second increments as needed. Or cook it stovetop. Add a teensy pinch of salt if you like, but not necessary.
And just because we’ve already got the Christmas instrumental Pandora going, let me tell you how to make it ❄️ JOY!…throw 1 peppermint into the blender! It’ll make you feel all the Christmas feels.
Serve with marshmallows, of course. And sometimes I add a scoop of @vitalproteinswhen I blend! Have a lovely Friday everyone!!!
