Welcome back to part 3 of of NTK Grocery Stores Favorites! Final store is Whole Foods. We live extremely close to a Whole Foods, so much so that we can walk or bike there, whereas Trader Joe’s is 2 bridges away. I normally do Whole Foods delivery through Amazon Prime because it’s free and convenient.

I am well aware that Whole Foods can be pricey, but there are a few favorite items we buy here and you can’t beat free delivery. It’s a cost benefit analysis I have to do in my head when I weight the cost of lugging all the kids to the grocery store. I have also found that frozen food is relatively well priced here. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you get an additional 10% off of sale items ???????? Sometimes their supplements and health products like protein powder go on sale for 25% off and I will grab some when this happens. 

Normally we spend around $175-200/week, but this past year while eating more at home, I would spend closer to $300. Grocery budgeting is no joke, but we are a family of 5 eating most meals at home and it gets expensive!

This list is not all-inclusive but it does contain most of our favorites. 

Fridge

• Latta’s eggs (local to the southeast and really good)
• Organic lacinato dinosaur kale
• Chicken, Step 3, 3 pack bulk
• Perfect bars
• Good deli meat(I like applegate honey maple turkey breast)
• Organic girl super greens
• Organic Kale Caesar chopped salad kit
• Organic Sriracha Ranch salad kit
• Organic Southwest Salad Kit
• Siggi’s Yogurt 
• Roots brand Hummus (it’s so good!)
• 365 parmesan, feta, etc.

Frozen

• Organic frozen broccoli, 2 lb bag. Our kids love steamed broccoli
• Organic 365 chopped spinach for the daily green
• Organic 365 mango chunks, for the daily green
• Farm Raised Atlantic Salmon, 6 pack
• Organic 365 riced cauliflower 
• 365 Fish Sticks
• Organic Haricots Verts
• Basically all of our frozen fruit/veggies

Pantry

• 365 brand Pretzel sticks
• 365 barbecue chips
• Dave’s Killer Bread, 21 whole grains and seeds thin slices
• Dave’s Killer Bread, Raisin’ The Roof
• 365 english muffins
• Organic buzz free decaf coffee
• Pita bread
• Cindy’s Balsamic Vinaigrette 
• Whole grain 365 pita chips
• A loaf of their bakery sourdough or baguette
• Any of their bakery cookies; so good! especially the vegan chocolate chip
• 365 coconut water (I usually get at Costco but sometimes Costco is out)

A few things I refuse to by at Whole Foods…

• Squeeze pouches of applesauce
• Chicken sausage
• Hemp hearts
• Chia seeds
• Name brand crackers/snacks (things like Annie’s, Simple Mills, etc)
• Fancy cheese; I save these for Trader Joe’s
