I hope those spaces inspire you! But just in case you look at your phone, only to look up and be affronted by your own space, allow me to offer a gentle Christmas reminder:
Your kids will not remember whether the house is perfectly decorated. They won’t think twice about mismatched decor. They most certainly will have no clue if the stockings came from pottery barn or the dollar store. I bet they won’t even notice those bald spots on your tree. And I think there’s something to be said for all the little imperfections.
The imperfection serves as a reminder in this season: Broken imperfections walking around everywhere, deeply in need of a Savior.
So decorate to your heart’s content! Go all out, or go minimalist. Real tree or fake. White lights or colored. But remember, there’s beauty in the imperfect. There’s treasure to be found in your lack ❤️
