Hey Summer, we see you. And we are coming after you with some bonafide structure ???? I want to give you a super practical and FREE way you can make a daily routine/schedule for your family. We don’t utilize it a ton during the school year, but you absolutely could. In the summers and over breaks, this is a Godsend. Last year I created these schedules for the first time amidst the chaos of Covid and the kids being home all day. Game changer in our days!
I made these sheets in Canva (a free website and app). It was so easy! I got the input of the kids for the different pictures and they loved getting to choose. The times really help my type A time lover, and the pictures make all the difference for Scout. Personally, I love the bright colors. These are located by the pantry, in the center of the house. This is all on purpose ????
After only 24 hours in of implementing this, I was able to see huge benefits. For example, Scout asked me for a snack and I was about to say yes when I checked the schedule and realized we had already had a snack. TEN MINUTES EARLIER! Oh these little people trying to take advantage of their mother’s tired brain.
To close, if you just need an idea, here’s one we made from last summer. We also made a new version this year that you can find here. It really helps cut down on the question “when is snacktime?” and the clip art helps those who cannot read. My assistant Jess made a video to teach you how to make one on canva.com.
Mom to four wonderful little people. While they sleep, I cook.
